Tour of Southern States (2 of 9) :

When we left New Orleans, our plan was to drive to Mobile, Alabama. We have a plan to visit every state of the USA and so we wanted to go to Alabama. We had to drive across Mississippi to get to Mobile, and we stopped at the Jefferson Davis Library in Biloxi. Davis was the President of the Confederate States of America which we of course defeated in the Civil War. Davis lived the last 12 years of his life in Biloxi and wrote a couple of books at the right of the Southern States to secede from the Union. These books are hard to read (I tried in 2001) - however the Library brings the whole thing to life. Very interesting.
