Our first grandchild "Holly Jessica" was born in Camberley, England on August 21, 2006. A proud moment for everybody especially the new Parents Jen and Alan. Holly arrived at 3.565kg (7lb 13.5oz) at 13.59BST on August 21, 2006 - after a fairly exhausting 24 hours for Jen and Alan. Much relief all round that everything was fine. Any much rejoicing at the arrival of a healthy beautiful little girl.
We went to England on Friday Sept 1 for a family gathering on Sunday Sept 3. Penny took us to SFO and Peggy also came to wish us "Bon Voyage". Dinner in Zack's in Millbrae and we were off on British Airways to Heathrow. As you'd expect we arrived in England on a wet September Saturday afternoon.
The garden party was a great success - both the company and weather were perfect. A marvellous turnout of family members and also some of Alan and Jen's friends. Quite an occasion really. Felt a lot like the wedding without the cake and ceremony. From newly weds to young family in 12 months - quite a transition. However everybody's really delighted by all of this. Quite Wonderful.
