Jamie's visit - Sunday June 29, 2008

Sunday was a liesurely day. We got up and had breakfast with our wonderful hosts at the Christmas Tree Vineyard Lodge. We took a detour via Colfax on the way home. A road we'd never taken and were surprised that it was an unsurfaced mountain road. And then lunch in Auburn and then it was time to drive back to San Jose. Jamie's flight to London (via JFK in NY) was scheduled to leave SFO at 10.00pm.

Once again, we're really enjoyed a visit by Jamie. And I know he's really enjoyed being in California. And the visit to the Western States Trail and Claudia's B&B Lodge has enabled to experience first hand something he's heard us discussing. Nothing's ever the way you think - a visit is the only way to really appreciate what things really are.

Jamie's talking about a visit in October, 2009 to walk the Kansas City Marathon. That'd be great. The motivation is to make the day that Ali and I complete the tour of the 50 states. We'll see if that develops.
