Vacation 2011 (8 of 10) :

It was now time to head into Seattle to visit our friends and start the celebration of Allison and Brian's wedding. We took the ferry from Port Townsend to Widbey Island and drove via Deception Pass onto the mainland. 70 miles on Interstate-5 brought us to Seattle. It was a bit of a shock to arrive on the very busy highway after a week of rural roads.

We stayed in a very nice B&B in Seattle near the home of the Wedding Family. Highly recommended "9 Cranes Inn", run by a lovely lady called Shelley.

It was Ali's 60th birthday on Sunday 2011-07-10 - the day after the wedding. Shelley arranged some flowers and chocolates as a surprise at breakfast. Several wedding guests and family said "No way does Ali look 60". I agree - she looks marvellous. Due to a boo-boo by the web master, the photos of Ali at 60 aren't yet available
