SJC to PHX - 2012-01-14

Arizona Marathon (2 of 4) :

We've gone to Phoenix, Arizona to run in the Rock'n'Roll Marathon. We flew from SJC to PHX on Saturday. I always like flying out of SJC because I know the area well. It's fun to see home from 10,000 feet. There are also nice views on the starboard side of the Pacific Ocean from Santa Cruz Bay.

I don't think I care for Phoenix very much as a city. For sure, I wouldn't want to live in a place that is so hot for much of the year. However the desert has a start beauty that cannot be denied. The colors are very beautiful. In January, the weather is pleasant.
