Burns Weekend - 2012-01-21

Michelle participated in a 50k run in Fremont. Gosh, that's a long way. We went along to meet her at the end and have lunch. She was tired and in good spirits. We only took three photos - it was all very low key. We had lunch in a deli in Niles Canyon. This is where Charlie Caplin made his early movies. It's a rather charming little wild west railroad town. Well done, Michelle. We're planning 16 next Saturday afternoon at Fremont Older.

We attended a really Great Burns Supper in Scotts Valley with group called "X Marks the Scot"

We were invited by friends of Ali from the Scottish Dance Club. And it was a glittering occasion. The wit and cleverness of all the speakers was extraordinary. One of the best Burns Suppers I have ever attended.

I haven't figured out who "X Marks the Scot" are. Some kind of Scottish affectionados. They have there own registered tartan which is very attractive. I'm interested in joining this group and getting another kilt. For sure Madalyn and the team from "X" did a great deal of in the kitchen. It was pot-luck and we only paid $10. Best Dinner I've ever seen for $10. Well done everybody, looking forward to next year's bash.
