Restaurant EFES

Olympics (10 of of 14 ):

We enjoyed a very nice meal at a Turkish Restaurant beside the University of Sheffield. The establishment was called EFES - which perhaps stands for "Every Frenchman Eats Here in Sheffield". When the competition is "California Fresh" and "3 Corners of China", anybody would prefer this!

We were very well served by hostess Maria, whose Uncle lives in San Jose, California. Maria: Be sure to visit us if you come to California. Ali had a chicken dish, I had Maria's favorite - the Lamb Shank, and Elisabeth had perfect red lamb chops. We had a combo platter for starters and complimentary tea and coffee to follow. A couple of carafes of the house red made a perfect experience complete.

Although I don't drink, there was no need to take the car. The Sheffield Super Tram serves almost door-to-door. A downpour of rain when we alighted at Leppings Lane provided the authenic reminder that we are in England.

We've enjoyed 5 very nice days here in Sheffield. For sure, we look forward to another visit to see Elisabeth and to explore more of Yorkshire.
