Invercargill, New Zealand

We went to visit Invercargill because it was convenient to visit. If we come to South Island again, we'll probably visit Milford Sound the Fjordland's National Park. Another visit to Invercargill is very unlikely.

Invercargill is a town of about 50,000 folks. There seems to be a lot of light engineering being done here. We intended to visit Bluff and look over the straights to Steward Island. Not today. It was pouring and visibility was about 1km. We went to look at Wallacetown because it has a "Largs Street". The only "Largs Street" in the world! We had lunch in Lumsden in the "Route 6" Cafe. I wrote a little parody of "Route 66" for them.
