June 2017

Lots of fun in June. Jessie's 8th Birthday was celebrated with a family dinner on June 4. Elisabeth and Mark and Swift came to visit, although I have no photographs of that. Alison and I have been busy in the garden. The bedding and hanging baskets are done. "Rose Street" along the Yellow Brick road is blooming and we've given the shrubs a hair-cut. We've agreed about how to complete the landscaping of the garden and hope that Chris can do the work this year.

We had a mini 5-day holiday in England. We visited my PostScript friend Brian whom I haven't seen for 15 years. He now lives in the Lake District. We also visited Hadrian's Wall. On the way home, visited friends in Rutland.

We've starting doing work on Shelly and Jamie's Garden while they are at work on Fridays. We go over about 11, walk the dogs, do some chores, have lunch, cut the grass and leave about 3pm. They come home at the end of a hard week to a clean house and tidy garden.

I've been hoping for about 1 year that we'll finally finish the project. For sure, we're almost there now. We're looking forward to the family vacation in Scotland in July. We're having a trip to the States in October and attending weddings in November in Scotland and Vietnam. Being retired is fun.
