On Sunday morning, BTR normally have a choice of 5k or 10k. On the second Sunday of the month, the choice is 8k or 15k. I find 8k is too far for me. I can easily walk the distance, however it's a long way to run over the hills in Swinley. So, I run with the others for 3k, then ran/walked 3k back to the start and waited for the others to return. When I got back to the start, the Saint Michaels Runners (SMR) were having a bike meet-up and going off into the forest. Good to see them having fun. The weather was "OK for January". It was 3°C and dry. Although close to freezing, they was no frost. By the end of the run, there were some cloud breaks and a little blue sky. When I got home, I was delighted to be down from 77.2k to 76.4kg. I have my heart set on being 70k on our Golden Wedding Anniversary on 27 March. When I get to 70kg, I hope to keep up with the others and to run the 8k runs. I'm not optimistic about joining the 10k folks. For sure, I'll never run 15k again. Photos: click here.
